The 2024 Taiwan European Film Festival (TEFF) takes place from 21 November 2024 to 31 January 2025 at various cinemas and lecture rooms around Taiwan. This year, documentary film 'The Princess' joins the showcase.

The story of Princess Diana told exclusively through contemporaneous archive footage, creating a bold and immersive narrative of her life and death. Turning the camera back on ourselves, it also illuminates the profound impact she had and how the public’s attitude to the monarchy was, and still is, shaped by these events. From the Academy Award-winning producers of Man on Wire, Searching for Sugar Man and the Academy Award-nominated director of Black Sheep and Tell Me Who I Am.

The Princess is one of inspiring Grierson Award-nominated documentary stories that defy the status quo and uncover untold truths. A touring programme from the British Council and the Grierson Trust.

 

 

About Taiwan European Film Festival

The Taiwan European Film Festival has been broadcasting European films throughout Taiwan since 2005 and providing free admission for viewers. It is hoped that Taiwanese people can learn about the cultural, artistic, and linguistic diversity of European countries. Currently, the total number of viewers has exceeded 193,024.

In 2024, the 20th Taiwan European Film Festival was co-organized by the European Economic and Trade Office and DACHI Communication & Marketing. 17 European countries are invited to select a film for exhibition. The film will be simultaneously screened in various cultural and artistic venues, exhibition spaces, theaters, bookstores, school audio-visual spaces, and other venues throughout Taiwan. The videos will have both Chinese and English subtitles. The screening date begins from 21 November 2024, to 31 January 2025.
