Europe offers so many different languages and cultures and it is time to show them to Taipei! On the 24th of September a “Speak Dating” event will take place in Songshan Cultural and Creative Park the first time to celebrate the European Day of languages.
What is Speak Dating
The idea behind the event “Speak Dating” is: You learn two or three phrases for 5 minutes, get a stamp in your “European language passport” and then move on to the next language booth. You will win small prizes after successfully finishing your language session. In the process, you will also be able to gather more information about the cultural and linguistic diversity of Europe and where to study the European language you like.
“Speak Dating” offers free language sessions in 11 languages: Danish, Dutch, English, German, French, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Slovak, Swedish and Spanish.
The event is organized by Alliance Francaise, British Council, Goethe-Institut Taipei and Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in collaboration with numerous European representative offices in Taipei and supported by European Economic and Trade Office Taipei and CARES.
How to Join
The event is free of charge and no registration is required. Everyone is welcome to join us and to learn about European languages and culture.
