如何在英語中使用情態動詞「will」

您是否有信心用英語談論未來？

英語中使用動詞「will」的時機？  

will 常見用於談論我們相信的事情 (但不是 100% 確定)。它可以用來談論現在和未來的事物： 

“Where’s Jim? Is he here?”（Jim 在哪兒？他在這裡嗎？） 

“No, it’s only 4pm, I think he will be at the office.” (他不在這裡，現在才下午 4 點，我想他應該在辦公室。) 

If we leave at 7 A.M, I hope we will have enough time to get there. (如果我們早上 7 點出發，我希望我們有充分的時間抵達那裡。) 

另一個例子是當我們對未來做出預測時： 

Jason predicts his company profits will grow by 5% next year. (Jason 預測他公司的利潤明年將成長 5%。) 

Jin doesn’t want to visit Spain in August - it’ll (it will) be too crowded. (Jin 不想在八月的時候前往西班牙，那時候人潮太多了。) 

我們也可以使用 will  來提出提議、承諾和請求。 

Come over later, I’ll (I will) help you with your presentation. (請晚點過來，我會幫您準備報告。) 

I promise I will come to your party on Saturday. (我保證，我星期六會去參加您的聚會。) 

Will you let me know what time the meeting ends? (您能告訴我會議的結束時間嗎？) 

我們也可以使用 will  來表達我們做某事的決心。 

I will finish this job application today, even if I have to stay up all night! (我今天一定會完成這份工作申請，即使要熬夜也在所不惜！) 

will 的另一個用法是當我們在說話時做出決定，例如在餐廳裡決定要吃什麼時，這就是一個很好的例子： 

“What would you like to order?” (您想點什麼？) 

“Uhm.. I will have the salad for a starter and a falafel with hummus for my main course.” (嗯……我要點沙拉作為開胃菜，主菜是鷹嘴豆泥沙拉三明治。)

 初學英語時，我們通常會學到 will 是用來談論未來的，但談論未來最常見的方式之一其實是討論我們已經確定的計劃。為此，我們通常不使用 will！而是使用現在進行式或 (be) going to：

另一個常見的錯誤是，在像以下這些詞語後面使用 will：when, as soon as, before and after and if.

When I am eighty, I will be living in a beautiful house by the sea. (當我八十歲時，我將會住在海邊的一棟美麗的房子裡。)​✓​  

Call me as soon as you will get home.​ｘ​  (你到家後將立刻打電話給我。) 
Call me as soon as you get home.​✓​  (你到家後立刻打電話給我。) 

雖然這些詞語指的是未來，我們卻使用現在式。
